Project: Proposed a Small Aquatic Museum (2009)

This museum is designed for the small aquatic living from the ocean. The size for this site is 64694mm x 9449mm, and it has two levels. At the ground floor level, from the entrance you can see the big jellyfish aquarium in front of you, the ticket counter on your right and locker area on your left. The another areas that you can see on this floor are souvenir or shop area, weird and wonderful area, interactive imaging zone and Malaysian rain forest area.

On the first floor, you will enter the beautiful cafe before you get in into the big aquarium area. The areas that you will find here are the evolution, the small deep sea, Amazon flooded forest and the living reef and the small living ocean area.

The concept that I have choose for this museum is “The Aquatic Colorful Life”. To show the concept in this interior, I use verity of aquatic living color such as blue, purple, pink, white and many more. Design elements such as color, form, shape, materials and lighting effects are the major ingredients in creating showcase design that improves the display systems of artifacts. I get a lot of inspirations to design this museum, from the ocean living it self and also the elements of water, sand and wave.

Project: Proposed Interior Design for Dayak Boutique Hotel (2009)

This Boutique Hotel was designed follow the concept of Dayak arts and cultures. In this design, you can see a few Dayak pattern and design on its furniture, finishes and decoration. I have choose one of Dayak patterns to become my design elements in this hotel design.

One of the Dayak Patterns that combine floral and horn bill head.

Picture shows the horn bill beak and head.

The Dayak motif for this boutique hotel comes from the design of horn bill head and beak. From the design above you can see there are many curvy patterns that actually show the horn bill head. Horn bill can be easily found in Borneo Island because of its big and beautiful jungle.

These are the view of the lounge area that you will see at the ground floor level. There are a few sitting area for those who wants to relax or waiting for someone. Here also you can see a big water fountain at the middle of the ground floor level which also can be seen from the first level.

Big and Beautiful Water Fountain at the middle of Ground Floor Level.

Below shows the view at the first floor. Once you exit from the elevator, you will sell a big beautiful water fall, falling from the horn bills beaks. It's look really nice when the lights also come out along the beak, follow the water flow inside it.

An open bathtub designed beside the bed or sleeping area.

This boutique hotel has one restaurant at the ground floor. I designed the restaurant follow the head and beak of horn bill. As you can see below, the tables and sittings are all continues with the floor and ceiling. In this restaurant, there are two types of sitting areas you can choose either you want to sit at the bar style of sitting or the one that have cushions on it.
